Halloween pictures and happenings for Oct. and beginning of Nov.

When the Reicherts came into town, they got a baby swing for our backyard swingset. Brighton absolutely loves it. He giggles the whole time. I got the cutest video of his giggles the other day:

Brighton was "talking on his cell phone" the other day at breakfast and I caught it on tape. Pretty cute stuff!

After picking some of our flowers in our backyard.:)
Siena ripped up a foam cup and was amused at how it just stuck to brighton's head.lol
This is how Joel entertained Brighton the other day while I made dinner. He played inside that box for almost an hour!

 Cute sleepy little boy
The week of Halloween we headed to the library for their Halloween party. Brighton wasn't too amused, but Siena loved every second of it!
 Making a witch hat.

Our house is pretty cold in the mornings, so this is our usual ritual. We eat breakfast then the kids head over to sit by the vent until the house heats up all the way.:) Our little hobos!
The other day at the park Siena was playing with a cup she found and was filling it with the mulch from the playground. It was cute when Brighton figured out what she was doing and joined in. This kid is getting so much personality!

This is Brighton's favorite spot.. he LOVES hanging out on the stairs. Mom doesn't love it quite as much though.
Halloween day we headed over to Joel's work for the kids to go trick-or-treating there. One of the guys at Joel's work dressed up as a MASSIVE Olaf. Siena was terrified of him! Seriously. It was a little sad, but mostly comical(does saying that make me a bad mom??lol) After heading out to the car I got a video of Joel asking her about Olaf..

The night of Halloween we hung outside while we waited for Daddy to come home from work and then headed over to get a Costco pizza to start off our halloween night with an unhealthy bang..lol

Brighton LOVES sitting up on daddy's shoulders.
When we went trick-or-treating Siena's shoes were hurting her so she would go and knock  on the door or ring the doorbell then sit down and rub her feet until someone came to the door. Then she'd jump up and say "trick-or treat!" It was hilarious! She didn't want to stop either. we did this for at least 10 or so doors.

The day after Halloween we headed over the the "original pancake house" for some AMAZING pancakes and french toast! It was SOO tasty! We had to wait for quite a while to get seated, but in the end we felt it was totally worth it!
Joel has become quite the handy-man around our house. Oh the things you quickly have to learn when you move into an old house (especially one that used to be a rental for almost 10 years.. talk about years of neglect..). Anyway. Joel was fixing a leaky shower that's been dripping since we moved in.
The other day I went in to get Siena from her nap/quiet time and she told me she had made a tower for her "friends" beceause they didn't want to get "sworded" by Hans! Lol .(notice Hans at the bottom of the towers). This girl is creative!
Poor little Brighton got pink eye this last week/weekend along with a nasty cough/cold. This picture doesn't really do it justice. Luckily he was still a pretty happy little guy through it all!
Yesterday I stayed home with Brighton while Joel took Siena to church since Brighton was sick. It was really fun to get some one on one time with this kiddo. He was chatting up a storm! Boy do we love this little guy!

The Museum, Raking Leaves and Other Fun Videos

Last weekend we bought a van! Hooray! I know it's silly, but I have always had a dream of owning a Honda Odyssey, and I am now a proud owner of one! Just ask Joel. I tell him about 3-10 times a day that I love my van! This picture below is from when we were at one of the dealerships waiting around for forever. Daddy's good at coming up with ideas to entertain the kids.
We went to the museum again recently. So here are a few pictures from that outing.

We went out and raked up the millions of leaves in our backyard on Saturday. Siena had a ball, and to be honest so did Joel and I. Using the blower to get all the leaves to one side was ingenious and way too entertaining.

This is Siena's favorite thing to do when I have some things I want to work on in my craft room. She takes my craft room trash (the box) over to the corner of the room and dumps it all out then plays with all the scraps.

Siena loves to have dance parties! Joel recently was showing siena some dance moves and having her copy him and I caught it all on video..:)

And last but not least. I recorded Siena saying a few words (because she said them in a funny/cute way) the other day. I said the word and had her repeat me. After doing that she asked if she could say some of her own words and if I could record her. I was expecting her to say a word or two and be done.. but she kept going. So here you go, the train of thought of a 3 year old.. (p.s. ignore the slight bit of toddler nudity..lol)

I'm so glad I caught these fun moments on tape! She is growing up WAY too fast!

Gma and Papa Reichert Come to Visit, Halloween Costumes.. etc

I was hoping to post a few of my mobile phone pics, but I can't figure out how to get the skydrive thing to work to get them off..so I'll be posting those later when I can get Joel to help me. What would I do without Joel?!?!

If you've check out my food website- GreenLeavesAndJam.com, then you have already seen the first set of pictures, so you can just scroll on through them.

I finished the kids' Halloween costumes and I am SOO happy with the result! Siena loves her ballerina costume and Brighton... well he doesn't love it, but he looks so darn cute in it that someday he will love the pictures of it.:) He makes a pretty adorable monster.

Siena and I also made caramel apples for our first time ever. It was lots of fun doing it with her. She was especially excited about the sprinkles. She kept telling me "Thanks for getting the sprinkles at the store!" Over and over again.

She sprinkled all of them. She was pretty good at it too.
Afterwards she helped me "clean" the chocolate and caramel up..

This last General Conference weekend we had Joel's parents in town. It was so fun having them here and gettting to spend time with them. Joel's brother, Ryan also came up from Provo and hung out with us. On Sunday between sessions we headed out for a walk through the mountains. It was such a gorgeous day!

I am finally having every 2-week dr's appointments for this new baby! I love it when you get to those because it means you're getting closer! 2 months + 1 week to go!

Fun with Family and Friends.. Life Lately

These are all my photos that have been storing up on my phone.. Joel said I should title this post "Data Dump.."

This is one of Brighton's favorite toys right now. I have to push the button, but he loves to talk into this thing.. he'll sit still for 10 minutes straight if you'll help him.

My mom came into town a few weeks ago and we had such a fun time with her. We met up with my Aunt Kathy up at the zoo one of the days.
And met up for lunch with my grandma Sellers as well one of the days.

We had such a fun time having her here. It's always sad to see family go. Doug and Vivian, Joel's parents will be coming in town in about 2 weeks though and my mom will be back in town at Christmas. It's great to have family trips planned.

These two little cuties love each other!:)
I posted this next one on facebook and so I'm just going to copy and paste the story from that here:
The joys of having a mischievous older sister. I was working in putting a dresser together.. I had siena watching a movie and brighton corralled in the area too with toys. I heard siena say "Brighton, you will be a monster for halloween. You need lotion.." I look over the couch to find her smearing diaper cream all over brighton...
The library had a little train come for the kids to ride on recently. We BARELY made it in time for the second to last ride around. Siena was SOOO worried we were going to miss it. and frankly so was I. I was certainly not looking forward to the extremely dissapointed toddler I would have had on my hands, so both she and I were thankful we made it just in time!:)
After lunch one day brighton was a mess so I just threw him in the sink to get cleaned up. Siena loved helping wash his hair.
Brighton is finally stable enough of a sitter that he can even sit in the slippery car grocery cart things they have at the store (that Siena insists we use every time we go in.. to which I usually give in if we're not in a huge hurry).
We went to Kid to Kid recently and picked up all the kids' winter gear for this upcoming winter season here in Utah. Joel and I were super excited about the things we found that day! You should see brighton's winter snowsuit.. Siena calls it the astronaut costume..:)
Just hanging out at the nearby park
Brighton has figured out the stairs and LOVES to climb them.
We love storytime at the library here. Siena gets way into it usually.
 Even Brighton likes story time.
Hanging out at the park again..
Siena loves to do her head stands against the wall and the other day Brighton thought it was pretty hilarious to crawl over and bite her face (he's still pretty gummy, so it didn't hurt her thankfully). Siena thought it was hilarious too and they played this game for a while.
 All dressed up for church.
 Cute little sleepy boy!
Brighton figured out the other day that it was way easier to just climb into the toy chest to play with the toys than to pull out the toys individually.
Little diva said she was going grocery shopping.lol

We went to a peach/apple orchard on Friday and picked some peaches. No this was not your normal orchard experience and the one you would probably imagine in your head.. this one had sticker weed bushes that came up to your knees..lol it ended in lots of tears, but those peaches were some of the best peaches I've ever tasted, and to be honest it made for a pretty funny story so it still felt worth it in the end. (a story involving me holding Brighton, the diaper bag, and Siena while I tried to remove the sitckers from her pants and shoes enough to at least be able to carry both kiddos out of the orchard.. it was pretty funny..after the fact).
On Saturday we watched the BYU game, then headed out for some tasty pizza and then a hike with friends after. We had a great weekend this weekend!

Yes, she hiked in a skirt..lol

The pretty view on the way down.
There is the latest from our family! Things are going well. I am now 28 weeks pregnant.. just a few short months left before we have another little guy to chase around!:)
