Quiet Book/Texture book

This is Siena's quiet book. I got a lot of the designs from other quiet books that I have seen, like this one.  She also had a little girl one that I used some designs from as well. Tricia and I also came up with a few designs too. She has a little boy though so we did a few different designs, so I'm excited to see her finished product. I had so much fun making this.  We got a lot of scraps from Tricia's mother-in-law(who by the way is an awesome quilter!!)  Anyway, I really like the finished product. Check it out!
Somehow I forgot to take pictures of  the butterfly and bumble bee pages..but they're added now.

 Then here's each individual page.

Gingerbread House Extravaganza!

Yesterday we were invited to a gingerbread house making extravaganza. Basically, everyone brings graham crackers and a topping. Because there are around 100 people that come, there are unlimited toppings and frosting. Here are some pictures from the night:

I think Siena liked the ice cream cone!

It's not the prettiest house, but it sure has character. Did you notice the pet polar bear in the front yard?

Siena was a little bit grumpy until we took her shoes off. Here she is once her shoes were taken off.

Here is Doug and Tricia's nativity scene.

The finished product and the family!

Yams..

Siena has started eating solids! She had her 4 month appointment on Wednesday and they said that she could start. This has been fun! Here's a video of that:
Also kinda funny, but whenever we take her heavy shoes off, she shoots her legs straight up in the air. She's even started playing with her feet which is fun.
She also has started pushing up on her feet. Unfortunately, her arms aren't strong enough yet, so she just face plants..lol
Our little Siena's already getting so big! It's so fun to watch her grow and develop!

Christmas Stockings

I just finished all of our Christmas stockings yesterday. We searched for a while to find a cool pattern/design and finally saw these ones on etsy.
Here is the link for these cute etsy stockings if you want to buy them.

So anyway, I couldn't find a pattern, so I made one and here is our finished product:
First, I took strips of the fabric that we picked out and pieced them together
Then I put my pattern on top and cut out the shape.
I also finally used the quilting function on my sewing machine that I haven't had a chance/reason to use yet, so I was super excited about that! I also put batting between the layers to make them feel more legit.lol

So anyway, those are our stockings! We can't wait for Christmas now!

Our latest happenings

Well! Lots has happened since I posted last. Siena and I went to Houston.  Nikki was so sweet and flew us out to visit! Unfortunately though I brought my camera, but forgot my memory card! So no pictures from that fun trip! Luckily Cne took a few and so did Nikki so hopefully I can get those and post them later.

Here are some of the pictures from the latest happenings:
Sometimes we celebrate birthdays

Sometimes Siena watches the Sing-off with daddy

Sometimes Siena gets bundled up and we go on walks

Sometimes Siena reads books

And sometimes Siena moves herself without my help.  See the container of wipes? That's where her head was before I started doing my make-up.  By the time I was done, this is where she was.lol
I also made us our Christmas stockings! I'll post that next though. Happy almost Thanksgiving!

Siena Update

We went to the Orthopedics on Thursday for a little check-up to get some questions answered.  Looks like everything is looking good! We were worried about a few things like the fact that her ex-club foot is smaller than the other foot.  Apparently it's pretty normal for the club foot to be about a half a size smaller than the other foot.  He said sometimes it can happen where that foot just doesn't grow as well and it can be a lot smaller, but that's pretty rare. So we're keeping our fingers crossed!  We've mentioned this before, but he also talked again about how sometimes when a child only has 4 toes on a foot that leg can grow to be shorter than the other, but he won't be able to tell for a while because they only do the x-ray once they're at least 6 months old. So we shall see! Anyway, we got 1 new shoe for her.lol One of her shoes was starting to get too small so we traded it out for one that's 2 sizes bigger!lol It fits her so much better now though! Here are some pictures from this morning:
Her left foot is the bigger one(on the right in the picture..)
She's getting so big!!
There's the update! We just love this little girl! She's a cutie!
